Went to North Stradbroke Is. last w/end for the 2010 Straddie Assault. Steve was the judge for Le-Ba and was awarded best judge ( 85% ). Had a great w/end, the kids had a ball and are keen to head back next year. Steve won his division @ Le-Ba the next weekend but couldn't even pick up a single chockie when he tried the Skill Tester chocolate machine @ KMart when we came home. Kai scored a mad photo session in the Straddie bowl while we were there - any sponsors out there ? Check out this shot or catch Kai Kearney on FaceBook.

Lachy and Kai went to the Ballina skate park today for the MGP Scooter Team exhibition. MGP held a best trick expression session for the locals and Kai won ( backflip 3x completed ) with Lachy coming 3rd ( no footer 3x completed ). Good on ya boys. A good day for the Kearneys.

From Swellnet today
Updated: Fri Jan 29th, 7:10am
Surf: sloppy 1ft
Wind: light N
Weather: a shower or two
Dawn Patrol: As diabolical as it looks today, with it's tiny shapeless, sloppy form and rotting cornflake weed stench......with it's hordes of marauding bluebottles and threatening thunderstorms I'm not prepared to write this day off. If, and this is a mighty big if, the expected southerly change comes through late this arvo before the incoming tide has time to flood it there may be a window of micro peelers on the points suitable for kids and tandem surfing. Otherwise, it's one day closer to the end of the flat spell. H 8.18 L 3.02
